After looking through the reviews in front of us, the five of us decide to go to this “steakhouse” on a Saturday. Unfortunately, as it turned out later, without a reservation. The nice young man at the reception looked briefly in the back room and said: "No problem, I have space for you". Great, we thought. We went to the back room and weren't entirely thrilled. The room was bare and not at all appealing. Well, we didn't think so bad. Sit down and first 10 min. waited for the cards. The somewhat plump lady then came, brought us the cards and was gone again straight away. Another 10 min. waiting period. Then finally the drinks order, which went pretty quickly. Then there was a problem with the delivery of the drinks. Whole 20 min. So, for all those who take notes, 40 MINUTES from sitting down to the drinks. Well, it was Saturday, the place was completely full, we didn't think so bad. Ordered food, I had the sashi beef steak with fries, my wife and mother-in-law the vegetable fajitas, my father-in-law the Argentine rump steak and my son the "El Castillo" burger. I'll just say one thing: only my son was happy with his burger, everything else was quite a failure. The sashi beef was quite streaked with tendons. I really had to chew a lot. With a steak price of € 36, I just expect more. The vegetable fajitas were tasteless, apparently we are too spoiled with the good Munich gastro. The Argentinian rump steak was dry and tough and unfortunately completely through. We have never seen anything like it. The burger was great, hence the second star. Normally I would have left a third star because of the service, because the service was simply almost non-existent and we weren't even asked if we were satisfied, which is actually common practice, the star does not exist. It's a shame that I don't like to give bad reviews at Gastro.

We loved the meat! You don't find something like that every day. It was well attended and the staff had a lot to do, yet they were friendly and attentive. The terrace looks nice, you like to sit there a little longer.

My wife and I had reserved a table for Saturday, July 11th, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. We received a friendly welcome from the waitress and accompanied us to our table. The restaurant is stylishly furnished and made a very clean impression. We were able to order the drinks immediately after we had received the food and drink menu. My wife ordered the fajitas de combo for dinner. Since I couldn't decide which dry aged steak to take, I asked the waiter what he would recommend. He very kindly explained to me the difference between the rump steak and the ribeye steak, so that I finally decided on a 400 gram ribeye steak with bacon beans. The steak was taken fresh from the ripening cabinet and cut accordingly. The waiter came to our table with the raw steak and asked me if it was my taste. He also informed me that the steak now unfortunately weighs 440 grams and whether I would accept it that way. I politely agreed. When I asked how my steak was prepared, the waiter also gave me very friendly information. He also mentioned that the steak would take some time and therefore cannot be served in a very short time. Nevertheless, both dishes were served promptly, which I can rate very positively, as the faster dish is often served earlier and you can't start eating at the same time. I was also given very professional advice when choosing the final whiskey. Unfortunately, El Castillo is not in our area. But if I come to Bad Füssing again, I will definitely pay a visit to El Castillo. We can warmly recommend the place. Great staff Super local Great food THANK YOU El Castillo

Could be a nice place (nice furnishings) but our waiter was plain rude. A guaranteed and pre-ordered glutenfree dish was not delivered (can happen and would not be the end of the world). Instead of an apology we only received very rude and stupid comment's like `This is not Mexico, nobody likes corn tortillas`, `just eat rice, we don't have anything else for you` and `I don't want to talk anymore about this with you`. Which is hilarious, because where else can you expect corn tortillas (especially when they were cocky advertised) if not in an mexican restaurant. This guy has no idea how to treat guest's. After he insulted my girlfriend for the third time, I had to step in and told him he should calm down and behave like a normal person. This guy is crazy. We ordered asap the bill and for 6 people, we payed nearly 200€ for the moderate quality and not at all authentic food. If you want to be treated like a customer, avoid this place. We travel a lot, but were never treated like this before.

I'm convinced God made the steaks to make me happy. Dry Aged at its finest.Blue Rare, I have married.The king discipline of the chefs, perfectly mastered. The second main course is a chop from Iberico Schwein ..... Very good! A pleasant, Mexican-like atmosphere with dimmed light. Nice, well-trained service. Very good price / performance ratio. Not much parking, over priced, staff could care less if you eat or not. The worst part was it's supposed to be a Mexican restaurant and they said we could only choose between steak or burger. I'm sorry but that is NOT Mexican food. It was a pretty restaurant, but we left and ate at a great Italian place in town called Abruzzo.
